Aim of the Award
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme aims to involve young people into an enjoyable, challenging and rewarding programme of personal development.
The Award is a personal challenge and is NOT a competition. Everyone’s award will be different to reflect their individual accomplishments. Every individuals starting point, abilities and interests can be incorporated into the Award Scheme.
The Award is voluntary and is available to anyone. It is a commitment and it is done during their own time that you undertake the activities.
The Award Scheme is progressive and at each level it demands more time and a higher level of commitment and responsibility from the youths.
