What Do We Do At Scouts?

In Scouts, boys and girls aged 10 to 14, do a whole range of activities organised around a balanced programme which provides a varied activity schedule ensuring something for everyone and a wide range of experiences.

1st Hartford is a very active Scout group, with a different programme every meeting, and lots of regular outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, climbing, orienteering, canoeing, cycling, sailing etc.  At the weekly meetings we learn new skills such as navigation, rope work, pioneering, first aid, camp skills etc, and we have a whole range of activities to gain badges with personal challenges and team activities, and these are also supported by external guest speakers. We are keen on environmental / nature projects and have assisted the wardens at both Marbury Park and Delamere Forest with various activities. We also visit local attractions, do arts and crafts, themed evenings, creativity activities, hobby evenings, do charity events, have quiz nights, go bowling, go swimming, have joint events with other Scouts in the District, go on international scouting trips, and lots, lots more.......
If you want to make friends, play games, get to do and learn lots, and have a load of fun while your doing it - then 1st Hartford Scouts is for you!
